Essen Germany Events
Here is my report from the Essen Game 2016, and you can say with certainty that I did not expect such a big event, but here it is. I like abstract games, so I've been on my radar for a while now. First we went to the booth of Schmidt Spiele and there we could try out the new game "Gipf" (GIMP), an abstract chess game. Who wins is unclear But I'm pretty confident that it will be a very good team with players with a lot of experience in the game.
The Erloserkirche, which was built in 1906-1909 by Fanz Schwechten from Berlin and was once considered the most beautiful church in the Rhineland, was damaged and restored. You can follow the event from the hall of Borbeck Castle or take a leisurely walk through the forest around the castle. The park is a popular event as it has a large and vast area and is impressive. There are music ensembles and family trips, and there is even a concert hall for children and young people with a variety of musical instruments.
Guided tours are also offered, which is good if you want to know more about these works of art. The museum has also had a number of exhibitions, such as the Landesmuseum Rheinland-Pfalz and the Museum für Künste in Berlin.
English speaking visitors can enjoy this beautiful villa with guided tours, all in German, if they take the guided tour. The exhibition also shows the history of the village and its history as a tourist destination.
On the way home we visited a place called MEAT, and although service was incredibly slow, Tom had a fantastic burger (look away if you're not a carnivore). Klaus Jürgen Wrede is a very talented but humble person and after dinner he was very humble and wanted to play a short piano concerto to thank everyone for the support Carcassonne has received over the last 16-17 years. We thought, however, that everyone in the performance room would listen with joy. And then we were invited by the owner of the restaurant, Jere Guevara and his wife. We didn't want to play that night because we thought people would be hungry, but after dinner Klaus and Jürgen Wrede were very humble and they wished they could have played a shorter piano concerto in front of everyone and thanked them for the help and support we have received from Car ccassesonne in the last 16 or 17 years.
We were able to meet Kettlefish in person, but if he had not been so kind to do so, none of our events and organizations would have been the same.
I've heard it many times before, how amazing it is, but I really believe that the people you meet are what makes it so great. Going to eat was a goal I could only dream of, and the fact that like-minded people shared it with me made it even more amazing.
